Our client is an UK based advisory firm that had been engaged by an infrastructure investor considering the acquisition of a shareholding in portfolio of UK airports. The advisory firm had been engaged to deliver complete technical and commercial due diligence.

Kognitive supported the client’s Technical Advisory team throughout the due diligence process, delivering targeted cost and commercial input. This included unit rate analysis, benchmarking against UK and international construction cost data, and the development of ROM capital estimates based on the technical advisor's alternative long-term master plan and development proposals. Kognitive also supported with inputs into the business plan in connection with maintenance Capex and life-cycle costs.

Drawing on deep domain expertise and lessons learned from comparable advisory roles, Kognitive rapidly identified cost-saving opportunities and proposed practical alternatives—aligning with the alternative development proposals put forward in the technical advisor's business pan.
